Not sure if this is a spoofed phone number or someone purposely using an untraceable cell phone. I live in Rhode Island and keep getting phone calls from different phone numbers based in Bristol, RI. Call blocking intercepts the calls but they get recorded on my telephone bill transcript. I answered one of these Bristol calls last week b/c I have friends who live in that town. It turned out to be the Breast Cancer organization that has been identified as one of the biggest frauds in the country. I'm wondering if maybe they are hiring people as independent contractors who get a cut of the money they bring in as donations.
Yes, these are independent outfits that keep up to 99% of the money they take in for "expenses" and then donate what is left to the charity to make themselves seem legitimate.
