Called my cell phone at 4:10 PM in Rhode Island, and I picked up because it was my area code. A woman was asking for donations for breast cancer research. I hung up.
Called, left no message on my answering machine. Caller id on my phone said "Providence, RI". I returned the call less than a minute later (with my own caller id hidden) and a recording answered that "the survey I was called for is now closed." So I blocked the number, as it is obviously a scam. The same recorded male voice answers at 401-244-7223, 401-396-2331, 401-608-3009, 401-396-2343, 401-622-0104 and other Rhode Island numbers as well, all of which I have blocked.
