do not call list does not apply if the person whose phone they are calling is listed as a business number.
I do landscaping and due to my phone in business name I get hundreds of calls a month. wrote to my senator but got no reply. he's too busy getting his face on TV to care about small businesses.
I have no right not to be bothered but theses idiots have the right to bother me.
They call
Once a week or so. I don't answer any number I don't recognize. I figure if they are legit, they will leave a message. Works pretty well. I am lucky I am able to do this. I feel bad for those who have to answer all calls because of business.
I accidentally answered my phone without checking if I knew the person first, a bad move on my part. A man, with a heavy Indian accent, was trying to sell identity theft service.
It is a sad world when the thieves make enough money from stealing , that it is worth while ,to praying upon someone confused enough to give them their information.
Call came thru from Providence, RI and claimed to be Verizon wanting to help me stop potential theft of my identity. I do not even have Verizon. Told them they should not be calling and the woman said "Ya, ya, but anyway...". I hung up.
