Unsolicited call from tax company calling about back taxes. I have no outstanding tax liability, but have been calls from them for 2-3 weeks. Finally spoke with someone and requested my name/number be removed from their list. Received another call the next day and I asked for an address and the caller wouldn't give it to me. Nor would she connect me with a supervisor. Call is from Pawtucket, RI and I'll be
contacting the RI State Attorney General's office.
Thanks, I called back option #1 and removed my number from the list. This company keeps calling and using different caller id's and it is always a recording for something about unpaid taxes. Which totally does not apply to our household. It is getting annoying. I answer my phone 98% of the time and I am sick of this call and the other recording about cruises.
Also, since we just got this number within the last few years the last person that had it had some unpaid debt. We are still getting calls asking for that person.
Wrong answer...it's a scam to try and get personal information, and any number that calls them back they know is a good one for trying again. As they are scammers who have already broken a couple of laws and are planning to break at least a few more, DO NOT RESPOND TO THEM.
