Looked up the number online. Some kind of "bottom feeding, slop, scam" debt collector. Multiple locations including Hawaii (long way from Rhode Island,) but lists Cranston, RI as an office location.
Listed on www.ripoffreport.com as West Bay Acquisitions, LLC. There was a report about them made on July 20, 2012. Report lists four men associated with this company. There are four other reports as well. Use the search function to find and read them. These go back to 2009. One person reported them to the FBI.
Multiple reports say that they are collecting on fees on late video returns from a place called Hollywood Video. Never heard of them.
The report says to dispute all calls from the company. Debts are bogus.
I will not answer a call if I do not recognize the caller ID.
I keep getting calls from an unknown, but one day they called from the no# above and my cell buzzed twice then stopped. Then they called again under unknown. Most likely the same people. They never leave a message.
