I got a call on my cell phone. They left no voice message. Called the number back and they said they were calling from ACS about my student loans and trying to get me into a payment/forgiveness plan. ACS Education Services provides customer care and repayment services for campus based loans, private education loans, and Federal Family Education Loan Program loans. www.ACS-education.com.
They were actually very nice. They identified themselves very clearly. I didn't get into a full conversation with them because I was at work and was not in a private place. So I asked if I could call them back. They agreed and were very pleasant about it. I put the call type here as Non-Profit Organization because they didn't have a category that I felt was appropriate. Debt Collector didn't seem right since they were far from the bullies we are so used to and because it is still a government-run group.
