got call from them saying they were part of the Safe Cop Program via National Police Defense Foundation. caller admitted that organization is based in NJ. while on phone looked it up but not conclusive they're connected. when I did research is how I found this site & they are listed under an 800 (888 I think) number.
will consider the info when I look at the hard copy they are sending. in light of what you folks posted I am even more cynical about it now.
talked about police wearing bullet-proof vests and that they support families of slain officers, etc. *** Also, note: the guy who I spoke with just so happened to say HIS first name was same as Mine. then when I asked him about it at end of call he acted like he didn't even realize we shared a first name & that's not reasonable because it would be the first thing you see when looking at someone's name, right?
