This call came on my cell today, left no msg...I give the # to NO one and am on the DoNOTCall List. Hopefully, the feds and atty generals will start taking notice of thee sites if we ALL report these types of calls...otherwise they keep getting away with it! Also there needs to be a law which seriously prosecutes companies that use the caller id # changers (so it looks like a fake # is calling)...and the technology to sniff out this software. If this IS in fact CharterOne bank (as prev have indicated), I have already previously completed their opt out info regarding ANY calls or mail not directly related to the maintenance or security of my acct. They have also been MAILING me solicitations as well. Not to mention the solicitations are trying to scam you into Home Equity Lines of credit which is VERY taboo considering the economic climate these 2nd/3rd mortgages have created! LEECHES!
We kept getting faxes trying to come through our regular phone line (4 or 5 times in a row) , then someone called asking for the fax #.
then more faxes trying to come through the regular line.
when i tried to call the number back, this is what i got...
the person at this extension is not available to take your call, please leave message after the tone.
got 2 calls from this # today. 1st was @ 7:22 PM, 2nd was @ 7:25 PM.
2nd time I tried to pick up but they hung up before the 4th ring.
tried to call the number back & got a message stating "you have reached a non-working # @ citizens bank" then goes into a menu to select a department to go to.
