We got a call from this number today at 4:23 pm and didn't answer. The caller ID was WAKEFIELD RI. A voice mail message was left regarding an offer for seniors. When I called back (our number is hidden by default on outgoing messages) I heard a recording which supposedly gives the option to be put on their do not call list for "special promotions". We are on the National Do Not Call Registry. If this were a legitimate business they would obey the law. It's just another scam and a new number to be added to our call blocker. I highly recommend such a device to avoid these nuisances.

We got a call from this same # on our FAX # but these was no message (I wonder why? lol) Their # will now be entered into our 'puters " PhoneTray Free's " $hit LI$t of blocked #'s to be 'handled' if they call our home #, too. The FAX # takes care of itself, but I do check the #'s to see if we missed anyone we know.
You're right when you say that LEGIT business use Proper phone protocol including posting their REAL name and phone # to our CID units. That's just common courtesy, the lack of which exposes these thieving scammers and other crooked low-lifes.
The foreign TeleMarketer Call Centers (TMCC's as we referr to them) are worse than our domestic ones because we can't do much about them, and our illustrious government can't ( or WON'T) do anything constructive about any of them. This, again, leaves Us to take care of the situation ourselves ... as usual. We have to stick together in our fight against this pariah on our society. Can you say, "B. O. H. I. C. A. !" ?
