Another call from another "town" that did not leave a message
Been getting calls from supposedly various towns all over the country the last couple weeks
I never answer unless the caller is known by me
BEWARE... An elderly friend with memory problems received a call from this number (401) 515-5228 that lasted almost 20 minutes per her online call log. The caller ID shows "Wakefield RI" and this phone number. She does not remember the call but it is likely a scammer who got her checking account number and sold her services she doesn't need and can't use that were charged to her checking account. We are working to get the charges reversed. When I dial the number I get a recording with only one option; to press 1 to be placed on their do-not-call list. Nothing announcing the company's name nor any way of talking to a real person about these scammed charges. By the way, the victim's (my friend's) phone number is listed with the National Do Not Call Registry.
