Rule: Never enter into any transactions concerning any real estate interest sign unseen. Do your research first! Never pay cash for any fee connected with a real estate transaction and never pay with untraceable financial instruments.
A person claiming to have a house for sale in Florida. Claims he now lives in Pennsylvania; is trying to get my niece to buy a property from him, stating the house was his but is now being handled by the Phillip Worth Realtors but I could find nothing to verify anything he claims. He wanted my niece to send him 150.00 and only then would he would send a key to the house.
If house is in the hands of a legitimate realtor then the key should be able to be obtained from the real estate agency. Claims he was living in the home in Florida, prior to having to move to Pennsylvania, he claims his name is Mr & Mrs Montero Guzman Julian, he claims the property which belongs to him is located at 1859 Ector Rd in Jacksonville, FL 32211, but in my researching this possible scam, I found that the names on the property show that it is an estate sale by Edna L Kitchens and his name was not listed anywhere on the property per property appraiser's office, nor could I find ANY thing that remotely linked his name to Jacksonville, Florida or any other city, in doing a public search on his name as well as on the property, his telephone number, or the name of the realtor in my research; but instead, the property he claims is his, is listed with 4 names (seemingly family members-last name being Powell) as the ones who either co-own the property, or, are in charge of it. The suspicious ad - most likely a scam - was listed on Craigslist. If he were formerly a Florida resident living in the house he claims is his and has just moved to the state of Pennsylvania, I just wonder why the 401 area code for the telephone number he gave my niece, is in Rhode Island. Why would my niece need to send him 150.00 FIRST, in order to obtain a key to a house that he claims is now being handled by a so-called realtor. I just wanted to warn people of this suspicious character as he may be operating ANY where and in ANY state!
Looking for a rental and got this gentleman named Montero Guzman Julian...email with "application" even asking for copies of our licences. I sent pic with no number stating only once we were in the process of signing a lease would i send those numbers. He texted me and asked if he could call and i said that was great. No key to get inside until i sent money. Haaahahaha! No way! I said we were going to drive to the Home and that's when he said we could just peek through the Windows...really!!! What a scam and the saddest part is when desperate people with Only enough to survivor fall for such d!(μheads!
He/she/they are still running this scam
They find properties that are for rent and then list them on Craigslist for some crazy low price. The last one was a rental for 3/2 for $750. The house is actually $4500 per month on a realtor site
He also has scams for rental properties all over craigs list. Everyone should be reporting him to the FBI. The phone number should make him easy to find. That alone makes it work a conversation with him, to make sure that's really his number. This should be easy for the FBI to get done. Hate these scammers. I'm putting my complaint to the FBI together and also referring them to this web page.
