I just wanted to inform every one that there is a much cheaper solution to blocking numbers as rick has suggested, although the device may be good you can simply buy a Panasonic home phone which will give you 30 numbers and if you have cox phone service they will block another 30 all included with their phone service meaning free with service. You may not even need to have caller id but I do as I'm sure most every one does or they would not be able to search these numbers. I'm sure if you get a better Panasonic phone than mine or newer model you will probably get more numbers to block. Mine was around $40 with 3 receivers and an answering machine, Phones all have super large text, but there is one that has even larger text than mine. Like I said my phones are over 5 years old now so There has to be a much better model to take care of these jerks. Mine will just send a busy signal out, cox will block the calls and send a message saying you will not accept their calls. Alsop Cox has a unidentified or blocked caller blocking service, special ring tones, caller rerouting, the list goes on & on.
Requested on several occasions to be removed from their database: they still keep calling. I eventually spoke with a representative of the company who wanted to argue with me.......I just started screeming in his ears, and as loudly as I could. Hope they get the message. Seems the Do Not Call List does not work.
I got this call today too. My caller ID shows it as "Service Rewards." No idea what company this is supposed to be, but I'm guessing just another scammer. My number is unlisted, AND I'm on the DNC. I really have to wonder if people/companies like this just go to the DNC to try and find out if they can see what numbers they can get and call anyway.
I really wish that there was a way to block irrtating numbers like this from my phone.
There is a way,put a modem in your pc and down load a program called 'phone tray free' it's simple and easy, you can have it zap any call you enter in to it.
