I figured out how to hurt them without even trying.
I got 4 calls this morning and afternoon total, first was at crack of dawn so missed it, second I asked them to stop, I got hung-up on, then another call alter,I asked to stop instead of pushing 5 to be taken off their list because that does not work.
And every time they hang up the phone.
One guy who I got thru to , I am disabled and begged this guy to remove our number he said something like I cannot, sorry and hung up on me.
I have already done that many times no response just more calls.
I did this: pressed 1, the bogus stuff saying there are 24 callers ahead of you went to zero in less than 30 seconds.
When they call again I will lead the representative on maybe waste their time as if I wanted to buy their services and just give them chicken feed info, nothing real then say after wasting as much time as can be wasted just either hang up on them or say I changed my mind not interested then hang up.
If they get enough time being distracted by us wasting thier time it gives them less ability to answer robot calls:)
And if I get enough information to know whom they are and where they are I wil just pass it on to the authorities and maybe report it as harassment calls , sue the heck out of them if possible .
If we each did that, tied up their lines by pushing "one" to speak to one of them and play with them a bit they might get tired of calling repeatedly and even lose revenue as that is THEIR lifeline.
I suggest we ALL do that to them at least once seriously I think it would work against these jerks:)
I get the feeling this is run by a crew who maybe are nigerian Immigrants as I even got one call with no number just all zeroes and it was this crew.
Don't be passive, harass them back until they get the message it is time to quit:)
It is passive harassment in a way, not illegal since they called us not us calling them.
Another tactic when you get a live person is to just say yes to any question regardless this is war IMO:)
Fight back or it will only get more frequently that they call. I know as they did that to me and I am angry in Oregon.
Press 1 and give them hell for a minute or two.
ID did show Life Alert and there was a message. I've pressed 5 to a couple of these calls to be off their list, but the calls keep on coming, sometimes 2x/day. Reporting these types to the FCC does help.
