Called, left no message on my answering machine. Caller id on my phone said "Newport RI". I returned the call 5 minutes later (with my own caller id hidden) and a recording answered that "the survey I was called for is now closed." So I blocked the number. They tried calling me again from this number a couple of days later, so the "survey" explanation is obviously a scam. The same recorded voice answers at 401-396-2331 and other Rhode Island numbers as well, all of which I have blocked.
