They sent a text trying to buy something off of me through craigslist. They wanted to send me a check and have a courier pick the item up. This is a scam. They are going to mail a check for too much money and want you to send the remainder back via a wire transfer service (Like Western Union). They often offer more money than you are asking to entice you further. Your bank will think the check is good for awhile and then it WILL bounce. I would suggest that when dealing on Craigslist, Only deal in Cash.
