I get this call 5 to 10 times a day. It is a SCAM DO NOT GIVE NO INFO.
They will try to get your Account numbers, maiden name, and more. They are not even located in the
united states they are using Voice Over IP Phone numbers. I have been getting hundred of other calls from all kinds of number including number such as 999-999-99999 or 33333 or 5551 and from CA, WA, NJ, RI, WI, and so on all talking about loans. One of the guys I told I did not apply and he insisted I did and to cancel the application he said I had to pay $50 and that I needed to go buy a green dot card right now. Some home they all ready have some of my personal information I have changed all my debit card numbers and bank account numbers. I have been using a website called trapcall.com it tells my the real phone number they are calling from if possible, and also records the phone calls. I will be turning all of them into the police and the federal trade commission.
They couldn't even pronounce my last name right which is a simple name. I ask them who are you trying to reach? They said it 3 times and then I told him you have the wrong number, no one with this name lives here.
Then I told him take me off your calling list. So far they have not called back.They do not say their company name.
They called me several times too. I finally called back and told them that for every call they make I will call them back 20 times. Well I called them back 30+ times in a row. They were so upset and said they would remove me from the list. I waited then I get a call about 4 hrs later and when I answered I said "you again". He recognized my voice and immediately apologized several times. I told him, "you know what this means right..........I have to call you back 20 times." He said he made a mistake and said he was sorry. I still called back and decided I would call 40 times. I now just get a quick hang up. Haha serves them right.....
I have been getting phone calls from 401-648-9484 for the past 26 months (since I've had this phone number) for the woman (Cristina) who had this number before me. I've had ENOUGH. On July 3rd, I finally called them back after they were blowing up my phone one morning. I finally got a manager who said their company was Auto Loan and that he would put my number on the Do Not Call List. (Which is what I was told every single month.) Today, on Saturday, July 19th, I received a call before 8am. When I answered the person was speaking another language (not even to me, like to a colleague or something) and immediately hung up on me when I answered. So, I called back and asked to speak to a manager. After being hung up on 10 times, I was given to a Patrick William who was extremely rude and said he'd put my number on the Do Not Call List. I asked to speak to his boss and he hung up on me. I called back several more times (getting hung up on each time) before an Austin answered who claimed he was Patrick's boss. He told me that I was a liar because they just got my number one week ago and there are other companies that could be calling me, so it hasn't just been Auto Loan. He too, said Patrick would put me on the Do Not Call List. He then told me to stop calling them or they'd put me on their Block List so I couldn't call. (Hah, YES please do! I wish I could do the same to you!) And, par for the course, he hung up on me. That's 14 times of being hung up on today. I also submitted a complaint to Better Business Bureau about them, but they (Auto Loan) has not responded to the complaint. My blood is boiling right now...I can't stand rude customer service representatives, especially when they are at a manager level, and especially when it's not even an issue with which I should be dealing. When will this stop?!?
Why do you even waste your time doing that? they are all using fake American names and they are not even calling from the US, they are using a random IP number server to call you which generates random numbers. It comes from applying online for an advance loan to where you input your personal information SS, Bank number etc....They do this scam to get you to give them money and still your personal identity to come to the US. It is pointless to complain to BBB, it won't have an effect on them.
