WHY WOULD ANY ONE ANSWER A PHONE CALL FROM RHODE ISLAND?
DO YOU HONESTLY THINK THAT ASKING THEM TO TAKE YOU OFF THEIR CALL LIST IS GOING TO HAPPEN?
WHY WOULD YOU HAVE ANY INTERACTION WITH THESE C-R-I-M-I-N-A-L-S???
DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!!! IF YOU DO, YOU ARE SIMPLY CONFIRMING THAT YOU HAVE A WORKING PHONE NUMBER.
It's more likely that they will sell your known, WORKING telephone number to other telemarketers.
It's 2015 folks - time to get real and time to purchase a call blocking telephone or a blocking device that can block entire area codes. We have had the ENTIRE 401 AREA CODE BLOCKED FOR OVER 2 YEARS thanks to our Di*it**e Call Blocker. In fact, the 401 area code was one of the first area codes that we ever blocked, back in 2013.
PLEASE purchase a call blocking telephone - Panasonic now has phones that can block 250 FULL telephone numbers.
Or purchase a call blocking device that can block full telephone numbers AS WELL AS ENTIRE AREA CODES. Blocking entire area codes works best for us - we are in LA, CA and we do no business in the east or north east US.
When you block and entire area code, potentially you block 6 -8 million phone numbers!
When a blocked area code or number calls in, our PHONES DO NOT RING AND OUR OFFICE IS NOT DISTURBED BY THEIR CALLS. Currently, we have over 200 area codes blocked and our office is not besieged by CRIMINAL TELEMARKETERS.
Note - should you have family, friends or business in a blocked area code, simply "invite" their phone number into your call blocker - problem solved. Check out Amazon for call blocking devices and don't buy the cheap stuff!
"SCAM" they called to reduce my credit card interest! I asked from what bank, the man with a foreign accent possibly Jamaican or African said Chase/Citi Bank. I asked him the name on the card.and he hung up the phone I I don't have a credit card with that bank so I knew it was a scam from the start. Everyone, please be careful!, I called the number back and I get a fast busy signal!!
Thanks for the info, this group has some how received cell phone numbers. Set up a forwarding number, this will scare them off. They realize tracing gets easier with the forwarding. You can always check the number on the internet. In fact the number can be localized to an exact street and city location. Good luck.
I received a call that was a recording offering to reduce my credit card interest. It said to press "1" to speak to a representative or "2" to discontinue the notifications. I don't have a credit card, so I hung up and when I called the number back to see what company they claimed to be, I got a busy signal.
