You need to go do some reading. The DNC is just a list of numbers maintained by the FTC. No Army of enforcers, no one monitoring anyone's calls, no mechanical call blocking devices and It doesn't enforce anything and wasn't created to. Just a list that you put your name on asking not to be called. Whether you are called or not depends upon the honesty of the callers. It is an impossible task both economically and physically to run down and try to prosecute each and every complaint filed with them.

Called my cell, did not leave message and when I called number I recieved busy signal each time. I researched the mumber and found this link. It is the South Caroilna Dept of Insurance. It shows the number as a fax but lists the business number and name of person. https://online.doi.sc.gov/Eng/Public/Queries/ ... ndividualNbr=23. I called the.business number and told hem to stop calling.. she played stupid.
Called this morning. All I could see on the caller ID was Wells Fargo Ad...so, since i recently closed my acount with that bank, i picked up, but got dead air. Interesting that these pest have been around a while, and yet, the reports here on 800 notes are few and far between. It must be a very selective pest calling operation, or else they have a slew of numbers they display in the caller ID, and they keep rotating them. Pests. I guess, unless you know it is friend or family, the best thing is to ignore the phone, and don't pick up. If somebody really has legitimate business with you, they will leave a message.
