I had a Craigslist ad which I regrettably posted searching for a yorkie puppy for my mother during a time when she wanted one. This guy claiming to be "Peter Dempsy" from this phone number (along with the other following information) began texting me saying he had a female yorkie puppy he would let me have for $250. [email protected]. After I told him that my mother was no longer interested or able to care for a puppy due to a severe worsening in her health, he began texting me trying to get me to post his animal adoption ads on various websites for him. He was claiming different reasons for having a complete stranger post his ads for him, everything from "my laptop stopped working" to "I'm too busy at work". Despite me repeatedly telling him that I didn't think it was cool or acceptable for me to post his ads for him online, he kept texting me the animals' pictures along with his fake information (I looked up both the information he gave me AND the pic of animals...the info was FALSE and didn't exist with ANY identity, PLUS the animals pics were stolen off other peoples' ads). The Wichita Falls address he gave me is nothing more than a field...there's not even any houses or ANYTHING at that location...that was the address he gave me to come and physically visit with and pick up the yorkie puppy if I was going to drive there to get it from him (I'm from Dallas, TX, so Wichita Falls really isn't all too awfully far from me).
Well, he wouldn't stop texting me at LEAST a few times a day, so my niceness wore off eventually. I told him to STOP texting and harassing me, and that NO, I was NOT going to be placing his ads online ANYWHERE or for ANY reasons. The next day, I told him that by the way, I knew he was a scammer and that I kept ALL his text messages with him harassing me, giving me false information, etc, and that I would also be saving any NEW texts, especially if they're harassing and/or threatening. Well, sure enough, the next morning he sent me a threatening text message saying, "I will deal with you how can you prove am a scam i will f--- your world up". Of course, he had terrible english the whole time, so I also knew he is probably not even in the US; he's probably somewhere in Cameroon or some crap.
If ANYONE gets texts, calls, emails, etc from this guy, PLEASE REPORT HIM! We all need to do anything we can to put a STOP (or a LEAST deter them) to these scammers!
