It is Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Rhode Island. Ive donated in the past, but they only call 1 to 2 x a year. Usually because ive inquired about pick up times for donations. A great cause. But they will remove your # if u call and ask them to.
I just received a call from the number (Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island) and didn't pick up, and they didn't leave a message. I called back to request that I be taken off their call list, and a very nice lady assured me that she would do so. I asked her how BBBSRI got my number, and she explained that the charity makes automatic calls when a truck to pick up donations is in the area. It's disturbing that a reputable charity resorts to robocalling--I bet it turns off more potential donors than it attracts.
They've called me 4 times in the past few weeks. When I answer the phone, they don't say anything. When I ask who
they are, I still get silence from the other end. It's too bad that this charity is wasting time on useless calls.
