What happened to National Do Not Call?
This number called my cell asking "Have $ hardship on your student loans but intend to repay?  Reply YES to Nelnet . . ."
I don't have student loans, not gonna have them.  How can I make them stop calling me?

The DNC isn't a call blocker, it can't stop these illegal callers. Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Call was about some payment that didn't go through. Threatened legal action. I acquired this phone number from some one who used to work here. The person somehow got caught up in an extortion scam where a fake debt collector attempts to collect fake debts. This number is new to me. probably just another of the same thing.
