Got simultaneous calls from this number on my cell phone (former landline) and my parents' old landline. The same thing happened to me yesterday from 888-347-6357—which was reported as the Microsoft scam. These crooks are blanketing the public with calls!
Received a call saying he going to shut down my computer if I didn't verify the number and then I said why my caller ID say Dickey Norman he said that's my boss, the boss comes on and I said what's your name he said Norman Dick and I said that's why what my phone says, he said Ma'am Im going to shut you down if you don't give me the number then he left, other guy gets on and ask can he F me, asked several times, then called me a F'er and hung up
Called a total of three times today. Answered the second one and immediately realized that it was the Microsoft scam, but played along for a few minutes. What can I say, I was bored! First guy wasn't getting anywhere so he transferred me to a supervisor. I told him that this is a scam and he assured me that he was "just trying to help". I told him he was a liar and he hung up. Third time it was a woman and I told her to take my number off of her list and to never call me again. Will see if they call back......I have an air horn waiting for them!
Have received several calls from this Dickey Norman, and he was very persistent that my computer had been hacked. He first ask my name, no fool would give that out, then argued that he was to fix the computer. My reply was nothing wrong with my computer, I have very high security. I ask him to NEVER call again that I was on a DO NOT CALL LIST. Latest call 21 May 2016.
