They call at least 3-4 times a day for about a month. I am rarely home when they call. They don't leave messages, but when I do pick up the phone, they tell me to hold for an available representative. Ha?!
The recorded message does not say who they are what they want. That is clearly a violation to me. I'm tired of them interrupting me.
Were getting calls from this phone # numerous times last week. I called back today and got an automated message: "We have tried to contact you with an offer..."
From the menu options you can choose to either be connected to a telemarketer, or you can use an automated entry system to add your phone number to their DO NOT CALL list.
I submitted my phone number to the system to have me removed from their call list. I hope it will work. I hope they will use my phone number to do what they say they do, add me to the list, not sell me to other companies as a valid phone number. Only time will tell...
I have been getting calls from this number for a week now. I finally decided to answer and a man, quite politely, said that he is calling from Direct Merchants Bank, and they are offering a life insurance policy up to 2 million dollars.
The terms of the offer are that you pay $1. for 2 months to view the policy (yes, you read right, $1.00 TO VIEW the policy), and $21.00 a month if I accept the offer. I said no. Why would I pay for viewing a policy??? Even if it just $1.00? I don't know if the call was legit or not though...
They called today. The caller ID said "Direct Merchants Bank". When I answered a man with a very strong accent asked to speak with me or my husband. He could not say my name right, and I know for sure we don't have any business with them, so I hung up.
