They just called me and said my husband had been granted $5,000 from the Government that doesn't have to be paid back.

I've just started getting calls from them. Same story. PLEASE file a complaint with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
These people (and others like them) are becoming more aggressive and more frequent. We need to make sure the FTC understands the enormity of the problem and takes action.

when i answerd the phone it just kept ringing, like i called them. then right after i hung up i got a call from private...who are these people

I just got a call from this number this morning, on my cell phone. Thank God I let it go to voice mail, as I always do if I don't recognize the number and/or no name shows up in the caller ID.  When I listened to the voice mail, it was a man with a heavy accent that I believe was from somewhere in the Middle East. He identified himself as "Jacob Black with Vancose Life and Casualty in Omaha" (i live in Nebraska). At least that is as close as I can tell that he said since his accent and the background noise made it very difficult to understand what he said. Anyway, he said he came across my resume on the internet and had an "opportunity" for me. I posted my resume on several job search engines because I need a job and now I have to worry about scum like this getting my information.
