I just had the same call at my work!!! They do not speak English well and asked me if I am ready to go to jail along with asking for my attorney's phone #. What is wrong with these people!!!!
Just received the same threating call. Saying not to disregard and that if I did not call back good luck to me and all the jail time I will be serving. I was also called from a different number last week sounded like the same person saying he was from the State Attorney Generals office. This is a scam...went to the police department and they stated there was nothing they could do. How do I make this stop?? I have changed my home and cell numbers, but now they are calling my work. Scary!!
THIS GUY HAD ME SO PISSED OFF, SAID POLICE WHERE GONNA COME TO MY HOUSE AND TO MY WORK AND ARREST ME, I ASKED WHAT FOR... AND I HE SAID IT WAS SOMETHING ABOUT A PAYDAY LOAN I NEVER REPAIED, I TOLD HIM I NEVER RECIEVED A PAYDAY LOAN HE SAID EVERYTHING WAS ONLINE THEN he asked me if I was ready to go to jail but the phone sceptre getting disconnected IF HE CALLS BACK IM GONNA tell him to go f### himself. But he will hang up on me then call right back and get all pissy saying that I hung up on him
I recently received a call with the same information. They said that the sheriff would come to me job to arrest me. I went on Better Business Bureau and its definitely a scam. I'm going to get my credit score just to make sure no one else was using my information.
Received calls from some firm stating that I owe money for a pay day loan that I never received. I could not entirely understand what they were saying because of their strong accent but the bits and pieces I did pick up were like, "you owe 500 plus dollars" and if we go to court there will be an 8000 dollar fine and police offers will come to your home with papers. I asked about previous notifications and they said they had sent like 30 notifications to my email but no reply. I checked email but no such notifications. I also asked for paperwork stating these accusations but said we would have to go to court first. Then they offered to settle out of court..I told them I would get back to them.
