Here is the first email I received after replying to a listing on craigslist. I thought i had a good deal until they wouldn't meet with me and let me look at the merchandise.

Hello Anthony,
Thank you for your interest in buying our boat.First let me tell you a few words about it,it's in perfect shape, never been in salt water,no damage, and it has never been involved in any type of accident. It has a clear title, free of any liens or loans on it, and it has 120 hours. It comes with trailer, covers and 5 life jackets.
As I`m pregnant and in about a month I will give birth to a beautiful little girl,me and my husband have decided to sell some of our stuff to get some money to rent a bigger apartment. We are selling it for only $2,800, because that's the amount we need to pay the loan we already contracted to get the apartment(we need more room for the little one) and hope to get the money in a few days so we are trying to pull up a quick sale.We will be using eBay's services for the safety of this transaction.
If you have any more questions please don`t hesitate to reply.
Below there's a link where you can find the pics.

Hi James,
The boat is at the shipping company in Omaha NE sealed and ready for shipping. I have a contract with eBay so this deal must go through them. According with eBay you have 5 days from the time you receive the boat to inspect it and decide if you want to keep it or not. Here is how it will work:
First of all,I will need the following details from you: full name, full shipping address. After I have received these details from you, I will forward them to eBay. After they will process your info, they will send both of us invoices. On the invoice you will find all the instructions on how to complete this transaction. eBay will contact me and I will ship the boat to you. After you receive the boat you will have 5 days to test it, verify it and do whatever you want with it. If you are going buy it, then I will receive the payment details from eBay so that I can pick up the money.
If you decide that you won't buy the boat, eBay will refund the money and I will have the shipping company come pick up my boat, all shipping fees will be paid by me. If you wish to make the transaction, please send me the necessary info so that we can proceed. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
Thank you,

Only buy if you can meet them in person and no one pays for free shipping that would require a big truck!. DOn't be stupid like I almost was....
