It definately IS TD Ameritrade. They guy I spoke with face to face called to ask me feedback regarding a seminar that I went to the same week that we spoke. So the call is legit. By-the-way,all TD Ameritrade offices use a corporate line which is why it doesn't look like anyone in your calling area.
The caller(s) called me twice, the second time, they actually left me a voicemail and identified themselves as a TD Ameritrade representative and ended the call with "God bless your day." Polite, sure, but awefully suspicious b/c companies tend not to insert religion in their business practices. Weird....
