I received an automated call from, "Card Services" about lowering the interest rate on my current card. I was asked to press 1 to be connected to the operator or 2 to be disconnected. After about a minute on hold, I was connected to the operator. I asked her what company she was with, and she said, Bank of America, HSBC, Chase. . . you get the drill, all of them.
I don't know what the end result of this call is, but it sure feels like a scam. They called me at an unlisted number, spoke generically about credit cards, and tried to use the guise of familiarity with my accounts to goad me into disclosing my personal information.

I've gotten lots of calls from this number, and always press "2" to have our number removed from the list. Got another one today, so I pressed "1" for the operator. As soon as I started to tell the operator that I wanted our number removed, she hung up on me. So I called back, and got a recording telling me to press "1" to have our number removed, and to give it up to 72 hours. We'll see what happens!
Received a call this morning @ 5:40 am. I asked him if he knew what time it was and he said yes, I said "stupid idiot" and hung up on him. I blocked his number.
