Got call at work, pressed 1, trying to sell a lower interest credit card, ask for super v, she could not tell me how they got my direct line. they didn't even know whom they called. They did tell me however that I called them by pressing 1. I supposedly was removed from the call list, we'll see.
Received a call at work from this number. Didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. Tried to call the number back and it would not connect ("number could not be completed as dialed"). Did a reverse phone lookup and the number is in Omaha, Nebraska. Did a google search and got to this page.
I also received a call at work from this number. There was a recorded message about how I needed to press 1 to lower the interest rate on my credit card and that this was my last chance. I pressed 1 and a woman named Lindsey answered. I could hear what sounded like a busy call center in the background. She said that she could lower my interest rate and asked me what my current credit card balance was (I told her) the rate of my card (I told her) and who my account was through which I told her as well. Then she put me on hold and I got a new person named Natalie. By now I was very suspicious, and I was actually waiting for her to ask me for my account number which I would not have given her because I did not place the call. She verified the information I had given Lindsey and then put me on hold again. After about five minutes, I hung up. I think this is a scam of some sort. Don't give them your card number or SSN or any personal info.
got a call from this number.. automated female voice about credit card interest rates, get loans with lower rates. Operator hung up on my when I informed her that this was a cell phone and that I would like to be on their do-not-call list. how do I stop these scam call :(
I called them back and they have an automated message saying they offer "promotions" and that the caller is not interested to press 1 to have their number put on the do-not-call list.
I am naturally suspicious, so I didn't even press 1, I just hung up. What if pressing 1 really means, "AH! Someone answered the phone, this must be a good number to call back."
