Got this new number only a month ago and have got numerous calls recently from my own area code asking for the same person. I tell them no one by that name or anyone else for that matter has ever had this # besides me. ( Didn't give my name of course ) . I attempted to call number back and instantly got pre-recorded automated system giving 2 options ..press 1) if u would like a call back...or press 2) if you would like to be removed from our calling list. ..then says goodbye. SO I called back and pressed #1 and it instantly hung up on me. Not once did I hear a Company name or product/Items they supposedly were going to offer.

Odd thing is that area code is my own as well. Never before have I got a scam/Telemarketer call from my own state area code.....smells extremely fishy to me....and forgot to mention all calls I received were all diff numbers but same pre-recorded message when attempted to call it back.

Well by pressing 1 you have guaranteed yourself more calls, not less, because you have shown that they have a live person on the other end.
All phone numbers are recycled. No one gets rid of a number without a good reason since it a pain in the butt to notify everyone. So now you know why the former owners got rid of that number.
