UPDATE: about 5 minutes ago, on my cell phone this time, I just received a call from this same company US 1, it sounds like the exact same older woman, except it was different phone number this time the phone number was: (404)220-8324.
This number 866-791-3375 called my work phone. A voice mail was stating that they had a returned item from my financial institution. I do not use paper checks, so I was a bit curious but I did nothing. That first call was about 3 or 4 days ago. Then today I received 3 calls from this number and I would answer, say "hello this is Karen may I help you?" And the other end was an open dead silent line. Finally I hung up and called the phone number back, the first 2 calls I was hung up on. Finally, the third time an older lady answered with "US 1" I asked her to repeat the name and that is exactly the name of the company "US 1." She was actually very nice, definitely an American Woman. She looked up the number, mine the one US 1 had been calling and stated that I had gone into an "Ace Cash Express” and received an advance. I had never heard of this company, nor had I ever gotten a Cash Advance, so I looked the company up. I am in Florida and they are located in Nashville, TN. I then told the woman that this was my phone number, on my desk, at work she was calling. She apologized and said she would let corporate know to remove the number from their records, so I would not be called again. Let's see what happens from here?
