called and asked if we were the business and if we took AMEX. my response to him was the same as it always is to strange callers, i just repeat what they ask me.
"is this acme?"
"this is acme"
"do you take AMEX?"
"we take AMEX"
this usually gets the job done, most times they are just fishing for you to say "yes" so they can record it and manufacture whatever corresponding question they want.
A woman with a spanish sounding accent called and when I answered the phone she didn't say nothing but do you take amex? I asked who she was and what it was in regards to and she said my husband is looking at something there. I told her yes we do take amex and then she said thank you and hung up. Sounds like some type of fraud or something they are trying to run. I am out of California, so there would be no one in Georgia looking at doing home renovations with us. I found this site by googling the area code of the phone number because it just didn't sit right with me. She didn't even ask any other questions about the business or anything. Hopefully nothing bad comes out of this...
Same as above reports. Female caller asked if I take credit cards and concocted a bogus story as to why she was inquiring. When I said no she promptly hung up.
