Did you ever have a payday loan? This woman called and said the same exact thing and the only thing I can think of was a long time ago I had a payday loan but I thought that was taken care of.
SHORT ANSWER--- a phone call, fax, text, or email is NOT an official method of notification of a debt.
Demand WRITTEN proof of the ""debt"" that is MAILED (post office) to you. That is official - and they then have 5 days to comply. Expect excuses and meaningless threats but nothing mailed.. Give your state attorney general's office a report too.
I been receiving same call from this number and another number telling me same Stacy she ask me to pay 2500 dollars or she will press charges against me and put me in jail
I got the same calls. They claimed my social security number was involved, then when I called, they couldn't give me a phone number etc.... Said I owed money to a loan that was in default, phishing for the rest of my personal info.....idiots.....trying to scare you into confirming your personal info....
