Received recorded call saying they are the IRS and need to call them back because they are filling a law suit against me.
Called number back and call was answered by someone but there was a very loud "boiler room" background noise. Not sure if the person called could have even heard me if i had said anything.
IRS NEVER CALLS ANYBODY. It is a SCAM to get your money.
Had a little fun with these foreign scammers today.
I answered and got a recorded message stating that the IRS was suing me and I'd better call back.
Called and a woman I could barely understand answered, I asked to speak to a supervisor.
I asked him his employee number and name, which he gave me but I'm sure was fake.
He referred me back to the woman who he said would explain everything about the IRS lawsuit filed against me.
After a two minute wait, she got back to me.
She asked my first and last name.
So I said I am having a hard time understanding you.
Then I asked her if she could give me the name of the Court and the Docket Number.
She hung up.
Neither one could speak English that well, had heavy accents.
And they expect people to believe them?
LOL
I also got a phone call very similar to NH's. Saying they were going to put me in jail, watching my bank account. This is all their way of scaring people to give them money, and they want whatever you're willing to give them. Don't fall for it. The IRS doesn't work that way. Only thing I didn't like was they new my name and address. I had a lil fun with them to. Warn as many people as you can about this scam!
