I received a phone call this morning for someone else and they wanted me to have them call them back because it was a fraudulent case and I said the person I know would never be fraudulent and the number I got called from is 404-400-5390 Atlanta Georgia. He said at that time his name was Chris. We called back and they gave me a different phone number and a different name Victor Cruise at 404 334-0495. He said he work for Direct Lending. There have been a number of reported fraudulent calls from this company starting with the 404 area code. It's actually not a company it's a fraud scam whatever.
A guy name Micheal West called me from this number asking me to verify my last four digits of social. Which I refused to. Then claimed I had charges pending against me from a state I moved from. I told him thats funny and asked when did the offense occur? He them tried to explain it was for a payday loan check I tried to deposit to my account. I told him thats funny to when I don't never had a bank account. Then he disclosed other personal information which I cut him off and didn't confirm to be mine. I them asked for his name, number, and the account information and bank name which the activities where linked to. I got off the phone with him and checked into the information he gave me. Turns out the routing number and account number he had where linked to an old expired prepaid card I had years ago. I contacted the company to inquire if my card was active. The rep told me she found no data using my social which meant the account no longer exists. My thought is that maybe these people are scammers/hackers. The best thing to do is not to confirm or give out any identifying information to them.
I got a phone call saying his name was Ron and there were charges being pressed on me this afternoon for theft by deception and something else. He rattled off an email I have never used and said he was from cash services. I later found out its a scam
