I got a call today May 1st 2009. Telling me i pay over on my interest charges on my credit cards but i just pay off all of my credit card bills all the time. it said to press 1 if i want to know more about how they can cut my interest in half and press 3 if i want to be taken off the calling list. i pressed 3... then nothing happened. Should i have just hung up or am i now going to get dinged with a huge bill?
I just got a call from this number on my personal cell phone. I picked up and there was a recorded message, however I didn't listen long enough to find out exactly what it was. My wife had received several calls from this same number a few weeks ago, so I recognized what it was, but only after picking up the line. I called back from my work phone and was connected with an automated system that asked me to press 1 to be added to their DNC list. Since my work number shows as unknown caller as well, the system didn't recognize it.
I hung up, but I'm going to avoid putting my number on their automated DNC list, as it may do nothing more than verify that it's an active number that they can continue spamming.
