Received a call from this morning at 5 a.m. obviously figured it was not legit so i sent it straight to voicemail. I looked the number up and found it is associated with the IRS TaxHelp Center in Atlanta GA. I have no reason to be called by them so I permanently blocked them.
Your first sentence is a gem of concise, informative information that bears repeating so many times, I'm asking for permission to "borrow" it and use it as boilerplate for all those posts that complain about nobody doing anything about these calls.

Huh, from this number they represented themselves as Microsoft department /some sort of /
My phone shows also extension 157191. Called several times. . Hard to understand - spoke poor English with Asian accent. I guess a scam.
Next day called without number shown, but same guy, same accent, same association with Microsoft.
Sent him to hell, but didn't give directions :)
404-338-7962 just called with a heavy Indian ( in India ) accent saying he was with US Federal Govt. Dept of Legal Affairs -- I said Hello and am I under arrest and he said yes and hung up.
Don't know we can stop this trash from calling - any ideas?
