Yep, they are calling me again. I never answer unknown calls, but from the sound of the comments above, I would suggest if you really want to have some fun with these people, go to youtube and watch the videos uploaded by the computer savvy tech guys who play dumb with these people.....funny as hell. LOL!!
This number has called FIFTEEN times in two days. I never answer unknown numbers or names, have no answering machine, and this phone line is in another part of the house so it's just a mild annoyance, but still, WTF?
They are aware of it. There's just nothing anyone can do about it. These people are located in India and Pakistan and their governments aren't that concerned about it.
Same MO as other posts, but have some fun with it! Tell him to wait a minute that you have to turn the computer on, set the phone down for a couple of minutes then pick it up and tell him yes it really is taking a long time boot up. After a few more minutes tell him okay it is up and what do I do next. When he tells you to open the event log, say okay how do I do that on a Windows 98 machine. You should instantly hear the click from him hanging up.
Try this one. When they tell you to open the event log tell them you have to hang up so you can use your dial-up modem. Liked the Windows 98 part. Don't forget about Windows 3.1, everyone needs a DOS GUI operating system.
