HM they just called here. I t was like pulling teeth to find out who they were. The thing is the name they ask about i have no bills in that name nor do i put any bills in that name. Think it is one of those penny debt collectors looking to  victimized me again. It seems cause my last name is popular they put every bodies debt on me. When i call att and  team mobile and charter and ask if they gave them my name what they are calling about . The companies have no idea about the debt. it is sad but true. They are scamming many people . In Georgia they just attach liens to your house. They dont even notified you. No judge needed the attorney do it it is legal. what a crock living in America.

Nothing Left to Lose
Yes, it is a crock. America---Land of the Dispossessed. Gotta love it. Unfortunately, I lost everything during the recession and have nothing left for them to attach. They need to go after those who have the money but won't pay and leave the rest of us alone.

Have to have a COURT order, unless you're dealing with the IRS.

While I agree with they must have a court order, Georgia does make it easier for them:

Watch Out for Attachment and Liens

Georgia makes it easy to establish a lien against youor to attach your property. The situations where the creditor can get a lien or attachment include when:

You are living out of state;

You are about to move outside the Georgia county you were living in; or,

You try to hide or flee, or try to move property out of state.

The main federal debt collection law, the FDCPA, has a provision that says that if a debtor disputes the debt within 30 days of receiving written notice, the creditor needs to stop collection activities until it provides proof, or "verification," of the debt.

However, while a creditor can't start or instigate a lien after the debt has been disputed, if they had already put a lien in place, they don't need to remove it. That actually creates an incentive for creditors to establish a lien immediately, before you contact them to dispute the debt.

So keep in mind that in Georgia, liens are fairly easy to get and creditors may file them pretty quickly.
