I feel like im getting extortion or sextortion from this, met on POF girls name is Brittany and her dad is James Smith, he wants me to pay 3200 dollars and that she is in medical counciling, and that if i dont pay, he will turn the evidence in to the police... im freaking out.. like big time, idk if its real or fake.... but i feel like i wouldve been in cuffs by now.
Yes it is an extortion scam being run on or by that site. There are numerous number threads here with the same story. Make a police report to your local PD.
thank you. these stories are lining up EXACTLY with the "threats" being sent my way. Obviously I have been skeptical from the beginning, but still rightfully scared out of my mind. If I were to do nothing, in other words stop answering completely (as I have for weeks now), these "scammers" can't really do anything about it I assume? They have my home address, work, etc....
