Unexpected area code. Call was from Kaiser Permanente noting that Kaiser is a 5-star plan and services available. Looks like a marketing and informational call that I've received in the past. They left message to call back 866-916-5489. Harmless, but annoying all the same.
Harmless if they really are who they claim to be - anything can be spoofed (Number, callerID). This call is "probably" OK, but why are they calling me instead of sending a letter or email? It is never a good idea to give out private information over the phone. I don't answer or call back, so I guess I'll never know...
I didn't answer this call because I didn't recognize the out-of-state phone number. I am a Kaiser Permanente client, so they have my email and contact information, so I find calls from telemarketers very annoying. While I was typing this message I received a voice mail from Kaiser saying they had an important message for my recently deceased wife. (She was not a Kaiser client).
