It is fishy. Left a message twice in 4 different days in the past two weeks to ask us to call 18885574617 and key in a 7-digit security code. When I called the 1888 number and keyed in the code, it said the message expired and could not retrieved. I called United Health using the customer number at the back of the card, they said they do not have any message for us. I called the 404 number and got the same automated response as in the 1888 number. It seems they broadcast a reminder and collect info when someone call back
Funny how I got a call from "United Healthcare" yesterday from a different 404 area phone number, which I think tells you something. NJ United Healthcare would not be calling from Georgia and googling the number doesn't bring up a company or anything (neither does googling the number they want you to call back). Furthermore I don't have to renew my benefits, they were renewed months ago. It's a scam designed to get more information from you. When in doubt, call the number on the back of your insurance card and speak to someone, don't trust the number they give you in some message.
They called and left a message for my child that it is time to renew their policy. Do not answer these calls and never call a 1888 number for a company that is not listed on their website. Forward this [***] to the FBI!
