Got some call from a man with an indian kind of accent, sort of indian/british combination. Said something like the following: Hi. this message is intended to contact you. My name is Steve Martin, and i'm calling regarding an enforcement action, executed by US Treasury intending receiver's attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance before a Magistrate Judge or a Grand Jury for a federal criminal offense. My number is 404-382-0158. I'll repeat: 404-382-0158. (Caller ID) said Atlanta, GA) I'd like you to cooperate with us and help us to help you.
I received 2 phone calls from this number and ignored both of them. On the second call an east indian sounding guy who identified himself as Steve Martin demanded I call him back concerning an issue with the U.S. Treasury. It was worded the same as the above response
From T. Tasse. Obviously a phone scam. Both of these calls were received on the afternoon of March 5,2015.
Today, I received a voice message from the same tel#: 404-382-0158 saying he was from the U.S. Treasury. Calls like this happen regularly, maybe every three weeks or so. The prior crank caller said he was from Microsoft technical services. And the one before that said he was from the IRS.
