Not thinking, just picked up this incoming call from a number I didn't recognize. I should have known better. It's an automated call that is set up to make you think it's a real person... once I answered the call, I said nothing, and the "person" that called began this way: "Hi, this is Josh from the Customer Service Department! Can you hear me okay? (pause) Okay, great! You have been pre-selected to receive a vacation package..." .. and then I hung up.
Our number is on the Government Do Not Call registry... reported this call and blocked.
I got a call from 404-382-9638, but didn't answer the call. After blocking the number, I called back and got a message telling me the survey I had been called about had finished. After a few seconds of silence, the computer came back on and said if you want to be removed from our call list press 9. I did so and was told my number has been removed. I'll wait and see. I'm on the Do Not Call List, but still keep getting all kinds of calls from telemarketers. I keep blocking the numbers, but they just roll over to another one and the calls keep coming.
