Recording stated re credit card and then hit "1" for more info on lower interest rates. I did like an idiot and a man with an Indian accent went into a spiel about how Bank of America /Chase wanted to give me a lower interest rate since I was a good customer and always paid on time. Asked me to verify that my current rate was above 10% and I owed over $3500 on my card. He then said he needed me to verify I was the current primary cardholder by giving him the expiration date on my card beginning with two numbers (and I did have a card with those #s). He then asked for all of the #s on my card. Told him I had no idea who he was and I wasn't going to give him my card # and why wasn't he asking for the typical security Q/As. He then asked if the next 2 #s were () and they were not so I got really suspicious and started asking tons of ?? I asked to speak to someone else because he was getting pissy and aggressive and the "supervisor" gave me the same spiel. Told him sure I'd like a lower interest rate but it would be a miracle if BoA or any credit card company voluntarily would do this and he was full of sh*t. He hung up on me and I called BoA reported this # and changed my card # just to be on the safe side. Total fraud bc BoA does not contract out to other companies or Indian companies like some companies. Do NOT give these people any info at all.
