When I saw the caller ID Spoofed NOT IN USE as the caller's ID I knew it was some type of telemarketer. I'm on the Do Not Call list, but as we all know it doesn't help much... As other posters have stated it's about lowering credit card interest rates. I find this amusing because I have an 814 credit score, so my credit card rates are extremely low and my balances are low too. I have received these same calls from various other numbers which I have blocked via my CPR V5000 call blocker unit. In fact I hit the big red button BLOCK NOW on the CPR V5000 during the call, so now this number is blocked now too. I must have blocked at least 10 different numbers from this telemarketer for lowering credit card interest rates and they still call from different numbers and area codes. I guess I should report them to the Do Not Call list on the government's website as a continuous violater, but I enjoy hitting the big red BLOCK NOW button on the CPR V5000 during the call
I get calls from this number about 1-2 times a week on my cell. Sometimes there is silence on the line, other times they want to lower credit card rates. Yesterday they said my computer was in need of an update and the update would not go through due to a something blocking it. Said I was using a Windows PC. I told them "no". They then asked what type of machine I was using. I played along for a few more seconds then hung up. I could still hear him saying, "Wait, Wait in the background. Total scam. I have since blocked the number.
Some nonsense about energy tax credits. Must be a spoofed number because when I called back a phone company recorded message indicated 404-400-1125 is not a working number. The name on the caller ID was "SENIORS". Blocked 'em good.
