Cell phone rang while in meeting. Did not recognize number, so ignored call. Looked online to see if there were previous notes about it, but found none. Called the number to see what they say, but it goes directly into their voice mail system. Computer system comments are polite but do not reveal any info about the company. Options allow you to connect to a representative, leave a message for them, etc. So I hung up.
Just received a call from "John" who sounded like he was Hispanic from "Security Services". Asked where he was calling from and he replied Salt Lake City, Utah. Asked him why was my Caller ID showing an Atlanta number and he said he did not
know and that my Caller ID was probably wrong. I told him my Caller ID was accurate and that number showing on my Caller ID was a spoofed number. He hung up. Same old scam trying to give you a free home security system, but what they are really selling is the monitoring service and I suspect Monitronix is behind these numerous robo calls that have been received from various other spoofed telephone numbers.
