A woman says she is going to report me or deliver an issuance the county and to Georgia Bureau of investigations for fraud on an old line of credit that I defaulted on almost eight years ago ... And told me that police were going to come arrest me for this felony ... Has anyone herd about all of this?
Sure, we've all heard of this here. It's called FRAUD. It's a scam. Someone has, most likely, purchased some old expired debt for little or nothing and is now breaking federal law attempting to collect it. Or it could be some shysters who obtained info. and now are trying to make an easy buck. Could be from overseas, could be domestic. Doesn't really matter. Scumbags come in all colors and nationalities.
Demand written validation of their claim to be delivered to you by mail. Not e-mail. When she refuses, she has proven herself to be fraudulent. Report her to your local authorities, the Atty. Generals office and the FTC. Their sites are available on-line.
If she's calling from overseas she'll probably not give up. At this point you politely tell her to 'Phuq-Oph' and then block or ignore all further calls. If she's calling from stateside and persists, log and record all calls (after checking your state laws governing the recording of calls), retain all voice mails, ascertain her address and contact a Consumer Atty. The U.S. based collection outfits that are using unlawful tactics are easy pickings, once they're located. You won't get much out of them, but it sure is gratifying!

OMG, I got the same phone call, and when i tried to ask for the collection companys name, the woman said, National asset company. Which i tried to look up and is not even a real company. She knows about the debt i owe, and this is an old debt from over 7 years ago. but she is saying she will deliver an issuence to the county. when i asked her what county it will be issued to, she didnt know. She did also say she was going to have me arrested if i didnt pay, she also kept telling me it is a felony and that i need to pay. she was rude and harrassed my familiy.
Received a call from 4044188966 saying they were about to file two felony warrants for my arrest for some supposed old debt from 2009. I asked for the info about the company and she said it was web payday (never heard of). She was very rude and didn't want to answer my questions just kept speaking of the supposed felony. I asked for something in writing and she said her client is not required to send anything and also that she could not give me their number. She had my email and name but nothing else. Certain this is a scam. They won't get A DIME from me.
