I was online looking for coupons from various sites and one in particular asked if I wanted free samples which I opted for...little did I know a survey would follow asking all types of things from my desire for continued education to whether or not my family had life insurance. Reading over everyone's post I see that this survey "shared" my personal info which is now being used for harassing calls from this education company. They call 1-2 times a day and never leave a message and the one time I did answer there was the normal "call center" pause before anyone came on the line and asked for me by first name.
It was a call from Pointly Education Deanna said I filled out info online to go back to school. I told them I did not and they hung up on me. I called back talked to Nicole and said the same thing then asked to be put on the do not call list, and again was hung up on!
Filled out an online survey recently and made the BIG mistake of adding my phone number.
All kinds of calls started coming in. The one before this was for an insurance company that at least had an opt out on their recording when called back. Then the 404-439-0013, which has something to do with education interest. I remember on form I said something about my kid starting college in next two years so figure that is why.
They sold my number quickly, you just need to call back and opt out. If they keep calling they are in violation of FCA rules.
