Report calls to the Attorney General of the State of Georgia, fund raisers are required to register. They are not registered in Georgia and have numerous complaints about bogus "pledges" . Their tax filings show $6 million collected and about 5% used for the "charitable purpose" I would suggest finding a veterans group that spends on veterans and not fund raising firms.
Georgia does show "Foundation For American Veterans, Inc" FAV as registered here http://verify.sos.ga.gov/Verification/SearchResults.aspx and shows their choice of fundraiser/solicitor as Associated Community Services who also solicit for multiple charities see https://www.sos.wa.gov/charities/search-app.aspx#/detail-cfr/364 the state of Minnesota is suing Associated Community Services and affiliate Central Processing see http://www.ag.state.mn.us/Office/PressRelease ... ityServices.asp
